Application Activities
- Interview an early intervention professional to obtain the following information:
- Beliefs regarding education for young children with special needs
- Current practices
- Thoughts on activity-based intervention
- Summarize the interview and include recommendations and suggestions for the professional and a reflection on the interview.
- Create an information packet on ABI that could be given to an early childhood professional unfamiliar with educating young children with special needs. Include a description of ABI and two challenges that professionals may face when implementing ABI. Additionally, include suggestions for helping early childhood professionals have fewer challenges when first implementing an activity-based approach.
