  1. List the three types of activities utilized in an activity-based approach and provide examples of each. Can daily activities be easily sorted into the three types or do some transcend multiple types?

  2. Describe embedding as it relates to activity-based intervention (ABI). What purpose does it serve?

  3. Describe the importance of following a child’s interests in an activity-based approach.

  4. How is it possible to follow a child’s lead, maintain order, and ensure learning? Do you think it would be easier or more challenging to address children’s individual needs when following their lead? Explain your answer.
