Strives for complete integration of blind people into society on a basis of equality. Offers advocacy services for the blind in such areas as discrimination in housing and insurance. Operates a job referral and listing system to help blind individuals find competitive employment. Runs an aids and appliances department to assist blind people in independent living. Has a scholarship program for blind college students and a loan program for blind people who are going into business for themselves. Publishes monthly and quarterly publications.
