A nonprofit association that represents more than 200 schools nationally and more than 600 at the state level through its Council of Affiliated State Associations, which provides special education and therapeutic services for children in public or private educational placements. NAPSEC provides a free referral service to parents and professionals seeking an appropriate placement for a child with a disability and publishes a directory of member schools.
